DESCRIPTION: A frequent rust fungus found as orangey/purplish-brown spots borne on the lower leaf surface and seen on both sides. The upper surface is the first sign of infection to be noted (as above) with numerous sunken blemishes apparent. SPORES: Teliospores are brown, smooth, 1-septate. HABITAT: On leaves of Wood Sage. SEASON: July to August.
